Monochrome

Hi New Hipsters

Today’s outfit is inspired by the monochrome trend which of course is the combination of black and white. I love this trend because it’s so classic and never grows old. Monochrome is the easiest trend to work no matter what season or time of the year and can be a show stopper if done right. There are many ways to style this look but my favourite is the classic chic work wear look. In my outfit today i wanted to go for that chic, classic, independent mom on-the-go look. My outfit is quit formal but i added a little comfort and edge by wearing my high waisted black jeans. I finished of the styling by accessorising with a pop of red in my lipstick and nail-polish and added silver accessories for that fresh classic look. This is a great outfit for those busy work days, actually the styling reminds me of those chic classic women on the streets of London and New York.

Experimentation

Hi New Hipsters

Today’s look post is all about experimenting with fashion, from colours to textures, prints and styles. Today’s outfit is a complete experimentation of styling, from what other wise would seem as a formal elegant outfit has been edged out by adding the denim vest and beanie. I love how one can take a very simple outfit and change it up by adding a few pieces here and there. So i’ve finished off my outfit by adding silver accessories as seen by my handbag, heels and sunglasses. The combination of silver goes really well with the pop of red in my lipstick and nail colour. This is a semi formal outfit but can be taken from day time casual to chic formal evening wear, by simply removing the beanie and denim vest and adding a choker necklace and clutch. It is always fun to experiment with fashion, so lets get experimenting!!

Floral For Winter

Hi New Hipsters

Since we’ve made our transition into fall and soon winter, i’ve been putting together outfits to match the season. I’m truly excited for winter and those chilly days where we can rock our faux fur, knee length coats, boots and woolies. Since winter is a very dull and eerie time, rocking bold colours and prints is the way to go to add a little life and fun to the season. As seen in my outfit today i’m wearing a floral dress, which is a great print to stand out and look really pretty this winter. There are many ways of styling the dress, which i’ve styled as hippie streetstyle chic. A major trend to look out for this season is wearing beanies which brings an element of fun and grunge to an outfit, i’m really loving this look and will be incorporating more of it into my styling. As i’ve said bold colours are great for winter but does not necessarily need to be seen in your outfit. You can incorporate colour into your accessories and makeup, today i’m wearing a bright pink lipstick and nail colour to finish of my look, remember it’s all about keeping it fresh and fun.
