Hey guys today I would like to introduce to you a new blogger networking platform called AFBN - African Fashion Bloggers Network. AFBN was created in 2014 with the aim to support African Fashion Bloggers across the globe and the African Fashion Industry at large. AFBN believes that by creating a network they will be able to help fashion bloggers in Africa and the Diaspora, including bloggers of African decent, to build better blogs, network with other bloggers and work closely with brands through unique projects/events.
One of their bigger goals is to see bloggers grow beyond just blogging but towards creating and growing sustainable businesses. In addition the network will serve as a platform where more experienced bloggers can help new/existing bloggers start and grow their blogs. This part really excites me because there are many aspiring bloggers out there with a drive and passion looking for a platform to express and share their interests but do not necessarily know where to or how to begin, this is where AFBN comes in.
VISION
AFBN’s vision is to help transform the African Fashion Industry by empowering fashion bloggers in Africa to realize their full potential through the provision of leading world-class resources, networking and business opportunities.
MISSION
Our mission is to harness towards strengthening the influence and success of African fashion bloggers in the global economy while helping them create and promote their businesses. We plan to achieve this by introducing new and emerging technology, tools and resources to our members so they remain informed and grow their blogs. Through unique platforms and events, we will facilitate conversations with key industry players in order to enhance the growth of the African Fashion Industry and the support of talented fashion bloggers.
Their website will be launching soon but you can already join and interact with the network by following them on their various social media platforms below.
