Monochrome Summer Layering

As many of you have seen on my social media platforms this was the ensemble I wore to Edgars’ VVIP Pre-party at SA fashion week. And as it turned out monochrome just happened to be the colour of the night.

So this outfit is kinda bipolar but I love it. We have an explosion of trends from monochrome, to sports luxe, pretty pleats, to sleek tailoring, altogether making for a really unique ensemble, one of my favourite looks to date.

So if you’re going to do layering this summer this is the way to do it. Pair a variety lightweight, textured fabrics to seamlessly transition from the heat to feeling air-conditioned. I’m particularly loving my white sleeveless blazer from Truworths, as I’ve said before in my previous post (Dark Knight) Tailored vest (Sleeveless blazers) are the perfect, chic cover-up that instantly gives off that polished and professional look.
