New Hipster

There’s just something so luxurious about velvet, from its rich texture, to the way it moves and feels. Velvet just instantly adds a rich, luxe, glamour to any look. It’s a great way to make a statement. I’ve always been quite drawn to velvet, but for some strange reason and perhaps due to the lack of availability, I didn’t exactly own anything velvet. But, thanks to designers embracing the fabric, it was the star of the A/W16 runways. This of course making it a major trend for the season, and now, so much more easier for us to get our hands on this luxurious fabric.

I’m also really loving the fact that velvet is now available in a myriad of bold and bright colours. Colours such as royal blue to hunter green (my absolute favs), to deep red and burnt orange. I am absolutely all for making a royal statement in bold velvet colours. So, watch this space, I definitely have a few more bold, velvet inspired looks to share with you.Jacket / Zara
