I love that 2015 is all about reviving the 70s. I must say, being the Hippie that I am, this is undoubtedly my favourite trend. So, you know when I become obsessed with something, I tend to go all the way in. The minute I got a whiff of the trend, I knew what I needed to do. I decided to cut my hair, I opted for a very 70s inspired pixie - think Twiggy. I started buying quite a few 70s / retro inspired pieces. From denim shift dresses, to bell sleeved dresses, A-line button down skirts, and of course denim flares. I’ve built quite a retro inspired denim collection i must add, but I digress.
I found the perfect pair of knee-high boots just as we started to move out of Winter. So, you can imagine my disappointment when I thought that it would be absolutely ridiculous to be wearing knee-high boots in what felt like 90 degree weather. But in fashion, there are no rules, It’s all about playing around with proportions. If you’re going to wear knee-high boots in Spring/Summer, It’s important to keep the rest of the look very light by wearing breathable fabrics. Or else, you’ll run the risk of over heating.
