Today we’re channelling the roaring 20’s inspired by “The Great Gatsby” with a modern twist.

As we have seen on the runways spring 2014/15 is all about pleats, and for some strange reason its got me feeling nostalgic, taking me back to the 20’s to comfortable loose flowing dresses, bold and beautiful glitzy accessories to bob cuts, mary janes and long cigarette holders.

Nick Coutts’ capsule collection is very modern but there’s something about the silhouettes and textures that are very reminiscent of classic vintage fashion. Immediately after seeing this pleated dress I instantly had a flash of Gatsby and the amazing 20’s fashion that was showcased and celebrated in the movie.

I love how everything about this look unintentionally came together from my edgy bob cut to the low-waisted, pleated hemline dress, altogether makes for the perfect 20’s look.
