So as you all may remember I ran a competition to win tickets for the final Skip Fashion Exchange event of 2014, and that day had finally arrived and boy was in for a surprise. I honestly had no expectations for the night but knew that it would be a lovely event. I had no idea just how impressed I would be with the overall experience, from the amazing venue to the beautifully well planned and thought out setup, to the warm hospitality to the jaw dropping fashion of course, the whole experience was one of kind and one of the best events I’ve attended thus far.
Upon arrival we were ushered-in and immediately given the star treatment by having our picture taken by an amazingly talented photographer. Thereafter, my picture was uploaded and I was given the opportunity to describe my look with Skip’s 3 Word Wardrobe challenge, which is currently running on their Facebook page Skip South Africa . Head on over and upload your look and describe it using three words, colour, fabric and mood.
Because I’m such a huge fan of delicious cuisine, the three course meal has got to be one of my favourite parts of the evening. While enjoying our delicious starter we were given a trend talk by top SA stylist Alexis Chaffe, while models walked in between tables showcasing these amazing trend items for 2014. This whole experience was very interactive because we were given the opportunity tweet our favourite look as seen on the models which resulted in a few lucky guests winning their favourite look of the night.
Overall the whole night was definitely one to remember. I got to meet and mingle with beautiful fashionable people, enjoy delicious food at an amazing location. Skip South Africa really went all out and I feel so honored to have been apart of such a wonderful fashion extravaganza. I’m definitely looking forward the next one.
