As you can remember from my earlier post (here) where I announced that The Duo Desk would be giving a trend talk together with Sunglass Hut SA on the Punk Avant-garde trend. Well, we did just that. On the 18th and 21st of September we hosted our very first trend talks at SunglassHut Melrose Arch - JHB, and V&A Waterfront - CPT. And, boy was it an event to remember.
V&A Waterfront - Cape Town

Both venues were packed with amazing fashion peeps, ready and eager to hear all about the Punk Avant-garde trend, and how they can incorporate it into their everyday wardrobes.
From studs, matte black and sparkly sunglasses, to leather jackets and tutus, embellished heels, and black lipstick - we covered it all.

We really wanted to highlight the different ways you could incorporate the trend into your wardrobe. We wanted to show that you don’t have to completely commit to the trend, but find subtle ways to rock the trend. This can be achieved with either a punk inspired, hairstyle, accessory, clothing item or makeup look.
The best way this can be done is with a great pair of sunglasses. With the right pair of sunglasses you can instantly Punk Up any look. Just have a look at our amazing Fashionistas of JHB and CPT, and how they Punk’d Up their looks with SunglassHut sunnies.

Palesa and I had the most amazing time meeting, hanging with and sharing our love for all things fashion with fellow fashionistas. We’re truly grateful and thankful to everyone who came out to support us, as well as SunglassHut for giving us the opportunity to be apart of such an amazing experience. It was literally written all over our faces - see below.
